Let's provide your Main Year/本命星 and Month Star/月命星 by your birthday 〜 !

Today's lesson is about the way to find the two kinds of your stars,

1. the Main Year Star/ 本命星(hon mei boshi) 

... and

2. the Main Month Star/ 月命星(getsu mei boshi)

by your date of birth!

In our Murayama kigaku school, we need to know below two stars.
Okay, let's start!

1. the Main Year Star/ 本命星(hon mei boshi) 

this is provided from your birth year.

1)  DEVIDE EACH NUMBER OF YOUR BIRTH YEAR AND ADD THEM.

I was born in 1974.
 1 + 9 + 7 + 4 = 21　

2)  ADD NUMBER UPTO SINGLE DIGIT.
2 + 1 = 3

3) SUBTRACT THE NUMBER GIVEN IN 2) FROM 11  

11 - 3 = 8

therefore, my main star is 8.Earth/ 八白(Happaku Dosei).

let's look this year, 2020!

2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 4
11 - 4 = 7
thus, this year is 7.Metal/ 七赤(Shichi seki Kinsei)., 

It is very simple, Get it? ... but . . . 
 

************** ATTENTION 1 *******************
if your birthday is from Jan.1 to Feb.4, 
your main star is to be the  Main Year Star plus one.

********************************************

for example, 

if the birthdate is 1974.1.31, 
her Year Star is 8 + 1 = 9.Fire/ Kyushi Kasei.

then, let's move to next,

2. the Main Month Star/ 月命星(getsu mei boshi)

this is provided from your birth month, but a little bit complicated.
let's look one by one!

1) Provide your Year Star first

you can not provide your Month Star without Year Star.
so if you havent provided it yet, see above and check it back.

2) Check your key number from your Year Star

the key number is different by your Year Star.

• 1 / 4 / 7 . . . key number is 10
• 2 / 5 / 8 . . . key number is 13
• 3 / 6 / 9 . . . key number is 16

3) Subtract your birth Month from your key number

I am 8/ Happaku, thus
my key number is 13, 13 - 4 = 9

 
my Month Star is to be 9.Fire / Kyushi kasei

when your birthday is January, 
we calculate as 13 or 4 (1+3) as your birth month.

so, 
if your key number is 10 or 13 . . .  10 or 13 minus 4 
if your key number is 16 . . .  16 minus 13

Your birthday is around the beginning of month , 
your Month Star might be different.
